During the COVID-19 pandemic, when outdoor spaces were vital for health and well-being, key local trails were flooded, muddy, and impassable. I actively engaged Town leadership, walked Fourteen Mile Creek Trail and Arbourview Trail alongside the Town’s Director of Parks to assess damage, and mapped out key repairs for Abbey Park Trail and McCraney Creek Trail. Thanks to these efforts, the Town completed the necessary overhauls, restoring these scenic spaces for all Ward 4 families to enjoy.
During 2023–2024, as auto thefts and home invasions escalated, I brought our community's urgent concerns directly to town halls with our MP, MPP, and Halton Regional Police, proposing constructive, local-level solutions. By making our collective voice heard, our concerted efforts helped contribute to a significant drop in local crime. This proved that when residents speak up and work together, meaningful change can occur.
For over seven years, I have served pro bono as legal counsel for more than a dozen non-profit and charitable organizations. My volunteer work helped an Oakville non-profit resolve complex operational challenges, setting the foundation for its growth into a thriving, multicultural organization. I have also provided low-cost legal advice to a local charity to streamline corporate governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen its community services.
Hearing residents’ express disappointment over seasonal facility closures, I collected 32 signatures in June 2024 to petition the Town for extended winter access to outdoor tennis courts. While the Town cited resource constraints, I remain committed to expanding local access. If elected, I will push to shorten winter court closures, open more outdoor courts, and advocate for multi-use indoor racquet facilities so residents can stay active all year round.

As an avid environmental advocate, I am deeply committed to preserving our natural spaces. My family and I regularly participate in local park and trail cleanups—a commitment that I am determined to keep.
