Municipal Donation Guidelines
Any individual whose primary, permanent home is in the province of Ontario (including Canadian citizens, permanent residents, work permit holders, and international students) can contribute to a candidate’s campaign.
Oakville residents who are Canadian citizens aged 18 or older and contribute to my campaign are eligible to receive a 50% rebate on their total contribution.
Minimum Qualifying Contribution: $100 (eligible for a $50 rebate).
Contribution Limits: Up to $1,200 per candidate, and a maximum total of $5,000 across all municipal candidates.
Who can donate?
Campaign Contribution Rebate Program
An eligible individual can contribute a maximum of $1,200 to a single municipal candidate in the Town of Oakville.
Cash contribution limit: $25 (any donation over $25 must be made via e-transfer, check, debit, or credit card).
